Pollination is when pollen is moved between plants, usually by insects.

To attract insects, flowers look colorful and smell nice. They also have nectar in their flowers, which is very tasty to bees and provides the bees with energy.
However, climate change means that the number of bees is going down.
There are a few reasons for this. One reason is that the increased temperatures make the plants smell differently, so the bees cannot find their way to the plants for food. There are also infections that can make bees poorly, which is more likely when the earth is hotter.
But without bees, there will be no plants.
You can help by planting wildflowers for bees to live in.
Or, if you see a poorly bee, you can ask an adult to offer it surgary water on a spoon as this might make it feel better.
